Ms. Mazzarella began playing the violin at the age of three and sat as concertmistress for every orchestra she played in throughout grade school, middle school and high school. At age eleven, she became the youngest member ever accepted into the Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra with whom she played first violin for many years and toured Europe performing in Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As an adult, Ms. Mazzarella has played with a variety of orchestras and musical groups and has performed solo for Hollywood award shows, private functions, and religious services. She currently plays first violin for the La Jolla Symphony and has played in several other San Diego orchestras where she sat as section leader or assistant concertmaster. She has also performed with groups such as the San Diego Marine Band where she sat as concertmistress for Christmas concerts and special events. In addition to symphony playing, Ms. Mazzarella plays chamber music professionally on a regular basis. Performances include weddings, private parties, and philanthropic galas. During the holidays, Ms. Mazzarella performs in a number of different venues from private parties to Christmas on the Prado in Balboa Park, and a wide array of religious services and events. In a different genre of music, Ms. Mazzarella plays the electric violin professionally with the rock band “Bridget Bridgette” and plays back up for several other rock bands in San Diego. They have performed several times in Hollywood and previously played regularly in the lounge at Humphrey’s by the Bay as well as other venues around the county. In addition to public venues, they also perform for private events, recent past performances include several special events for Governor Schwarzenegger and other public figures. Personally, Ms. Mazzarella is a San Diego County Deputy District Attorney and a student at Bethel Seminary where she will receive a Masters of Divinity degree in June 2009.
